About Lydia
I am a psychology graduate, keen to pursue a career within the NHS as a Clinical Psychologist. I have particular interests in clinical and developmental psychology, having completed a research project on identical and non-identical twins for my final year dissertation. Outside of my studies, I also enjoy horse riding, attending music events and painting.
I am pursuing tutoring as I have informally tutored friends, which I found both enjoyable and rewarding. My broad knowledge of psychology, familiarity of AS and A-level assessments, as well as experience using tutoring services means I can bring a unique perspective to your sessions.

Having engaged in tutoring during GCSEs, I have the unique perspective of the client. This has allowed me to develop my techniques with the knowledge of approaches that do and don't work. Furthermore, I understand the importance of tailoring sessions to the clients needs and ability, helping them to gain confidence that they may not get from 'one-size-fits-all' learning.
Typical lessons will last for 60 minutes, focusing on AQA AS and A-level Psychology. This will include time to discuss any areas or topics the student wishes to cover, pre-planned content for the lesson (which will have been discussed in the previous week). I also utilise past papers in order to develop the students ability in applying their knowledge to the assessments. The session will end by reviewing the lesson, areas which may need more focus and reviewing techniques that facilitated and hindered the lesson, in order to better for the students age.
