About Louise
I am a final year, final-stage PhD student at the University of Portsmouth, under the supervision of Prof. Alder Vrij, Dr Sharon Leal and Prof. Galit Nahari. My PhD is an investigation of multiple methods to identify individuals who lie about their identity, and the thesis contains five empirical studies. In addition to my PhD, I have also worked as a Research Associate (RA), under the supervision of Prof. Aldert Vrij, which I began in October 2015, funded by the High Value Detainee Group (HIG) and the Centre for research and Evidence in Security Threats (CREST).

My approach to teaching is representative of my overall appreciation for individualistic learning styles. By incorporating multiple modalities within lectures, I can engage visual and auditory learning styles but also allow students to engage with ‘real-world' applications of theoretical knowledge.
