About Michael
Tutoring is a way for me to give back to my community by helping others learn and grow, alongside being a deeply rewarding experience. I know all too well, the feeling of struggling to grasp a concept. Now that I have the tools to help others with this problem, I am excited to do so.
I have deep passions for Psychology, English, and Biology, and love to talk about these subjects whenever I can. By working one-on-one with students, I can help them to gain a deeper understanding of these subjects, and hopefully cultivate a passion in them for these subjects as well.
I also very much enjoy working with people. My degree in counseling has developed both my passion and skills in helping people face problems whether they are academic or mental health in nature. The best tutors are often patient, compassionate, and skilled at communicating complex ideas in a way that is easy for others to understand. I feel I have developed these skills over the past 5 years. By building excellent working relationships with students, I can help them feel more confident in their abilities and more motivated to learn.

A person-centered approach to tutoring. Catered to the individual students' needs. Will enquire about and assess the way in which the student most efficiently learns and build lessons around this. 1 Year of mentoring/tutoring experience at the university level.
