About Megan
I am a currently working opera singer and entertainer. I started my career as an actor and later got into opera, while I love my career as it is now I notice a lot of singers often struggle to juggle singing and acting. Singing can present such an intensive workload to the body that acting on top of that can feel distracting. I want to help anyone who struggles with this to find a more emotionally true, natural route to their characters so that the two processes work in harmony together.

My teaching method is generally character driven and encourages you to think about the person you're trying to portray. Whether you're preparing a full role or simply an excerpt I feel actors should have a thorough understanding of the character. A lesson would depend somewhat on what the student looks to get out of it. I am happy to tailor to your needs. For instance if you come to me in a panic because you have an audition for a musical in 2 days I probably won't choose that lesson to test you on your Greek tragedy! My experience is that of a professional actor/singer and director so I try to adopt that into my teaching by combining theory and hypothetical with practical solutions to challenges I've faced through my career. I'm happy to teach any age and level and believe acting can be a great way for people to grow in confidence.
