Hi, my name is Marcus and I am a 25 year old actor and commercial model based in Yorkshire. I am friendly and approachable, and always the first to crack a joke. I am not here to judge or be overly critical, but help you on your acting journey!

Screen Acting & Audition Coaching — Learn From a Working Actor
Want to feel more confident on camera, improve your acting or finally nail that monologue?
I'm Marcus, a professional screen actor based between Leeds and London, and I specialise in helping aspiring actors develop their performance skills for film, TV, auditions and self-tapes.
I hold a Distinction in Screen Acting from YAFTA and have experience working on TV productions, commercials and featured roles. I've also trained through workshops with established industry professionals, including BAFTA-winning director Jordan Hogg.
What I can help you with
Screen acting — natural, believable performances for camera
Monologues — choosing, learning and performing a monologue effectively
Self-tapes — performance, eyelines, framing and making your tape stand out
Audition preparation — breaking down scripts and making strong character choices

Film/TV technique — adapting your performance for the camera rather than the stage
My approach
I don't believe acting should feel like simply "pretending" or trying to look like an actor.
My lessons are practical and tailored to you. We'll work through scenes and monologues, put them on camera where useful, and identify exactly what is working and what could be improved.
Whether you're completely new to acting, preparing for drama school, auditioning for professional work, or simply want to become more confident, I'll adapt the lessons to your level and goals.
Most importantly, lessons should be fun, relaxed and encouraging. You don't need to arrive with lots of experience — you just need to be willing to have a go.
Who are my lessons for?
Beginners: Learn the fundamentals and build confidence.
Teenagers & young adults: Develop screen skills and prepare for auditions, drama school or professional opportunities.
Aspiring professional actors: Work on self-tapes, monologues, scenes and audition technique.
Anyone who simply loves acting: You don't need to want a career in acting to benefit from coaching.
Lessons
I offer online lessons via Zoom and can also teach in person around Leeds/West Yorkshire, depending on location.
First lesson: £20
Ongoing lessons: £25/hour
