My approach to tutoring is to provide personalized, project-based learning that empowers students to not just understand web design but to create real, tangible projects. As a web designer, my unique methodology is rooted in practical application. I don't just teach theory; I guide students through building actual websites from scratch, which helps them retain information and see their progress firsthand. This hands-on approach builds confidence and a portfolio of work they can be proud of.
My Tutoring Methodology
I believe the best way to learn is by doing. My lessons are structured around building a series of projects, starting with simple static pages and progressing to more dynamic, interactive websites. We'll begin by mastering HTML for content structure and then move on to CSS to style and design the pages. Once those foundational skills are solid, we'll introduce JavaScript to add functionality and interactivity. This progressive, project-based model ensures a deep understanding of how all three languages work together.
I am proficient in and can teach in both English and IsiXhosa, ensuring a comfortable learning environment for a diverse range of students.
