About Aakash

I am a professional theater artist specializing in children’s theater, with over 11 years of experience. I worked as an Assistant Coordinator with the National School of Drama’s Theatre-in-Education (TIE) Company, Sanskar Rang Toli, the children’s theater wing of NSD. I am also a professional storyteller and workshop facilitator with Kabuliwala Storytelling Company.

I have worked on NDMC’s Library Project for Children in association with Actor Factor and have collaborated with Routes to Roots, an NGO focused on digital learning in performing arts. Through this collaboration, I conducted theater workshops in numerous schools across Northeast and South India.

As an actor, I have performed in over 15 plays under the guidance of renowned directors such as Ashwath Bhatt, Kamal Pruthi, Vaishali Chakravarty, and Varun Sharma, along with veterans of children’s theater including V.K. Sharma (Founder/Director of Khilona) and Kiran Deep Sharma.

Apart from theater, I have also worked as a drama facilitator in several reputed schools across Delhi, including Heritage School (Vasant Kunj), Ahlcon International School (Mayur Vihar), DAV (Anand Vihar), Vikas Bharti (Rohini), and BVM (Karkardooma).

Currently, I am working in the film industry and have appeared in over 85 commercials and 3 web series.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is interactive, practical, and performance-oriented. I believe theatre is not just about acting on stage, but also about building confidence, creativity, communication skills, teamwork, and self-expression.

My classes include theatre games, improvisation, storytelling, voice and speech exercises, movement activities, character-building techniques, and performance exercises. I create a safe and encouraging environment where students can explore their creativity freely and gain confidence through performance.

A typical class usually begins with warm-up exercises and theatre games, followed by improvisation or acting activities, voice and body work, and scene-based performance practice. Depending on the student’s goals, sessions may also include storytelling, script work, public speaking, or preparation for stage performances and auditions.

As a teacher, I focus on making learning enjoyable, engaging, and accessible for every student. With over 8 years of experience in children’s theatre and workshop facilitation across schools and theatre groups, I adapt my teaching methods according to the age group, comfort level, and learning style of each student.

My classes are suitable for school children, teenagers, college students, beginners, aspiring actors, and anyone interested in improving confidence, communication, creativity, and stage presence through theatre.
