About Victoria

I have been performing and training in musical theatre for the past 11 years and I have been acting professionally for the past 5. I started teaching international kids 2 years ago and they are also now acting professionally in their local regional theatre.

About the lesson

I teach kids and teens practical theatre that will help them succeed in a very demanding business.
Teaching practical theatre means that I teach them how to approach a text, how to break it down, how to be professional in theatre and an audition room. I also teach them the realistic side of acting that deals with emotions and the cost of pursuing this career.
In terms of technique I practice and teach The “Uta Hagen technique” which breaks things down to motivation and finding yourself in the character instead of becoming the character.

Things I teach:
- What things you'll need for self-tapes, college auditions
- Where to find castings
- How to keep your self motivated
- The financial cost of being in theatre
- Headshots
- How to write a good resume
- How to conduct yourself in an audition
- How to conduct yourself in rehearsal
- Ways to get into character
- Ways to stay healthy while dealing with school and theatre
- Voice types and types in general
- Boundaries
