About Barny
I am a professional Pianist from London, I am fairly new to teaching but do have some experience particularly with teaching young children (Piano and English as a foreign language). I have a bachelors degree from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of music and dance and was awarded full marks for my masters degree from the Conservatorio 'Pietro Mascagni' Istituto di Studi Musicali Livorno (Italy).

As a teacher I strive to help my students become a 'complete' musician: I aim to incorporate different aspects of musicianship and apply them in context, for example, I regularly talk about music theory as it presents itself in the music, and I incorporate ear training in random. Ultimately I believe teaching the piano is primarily about inspiring a love for music in the student as the only way to improve is through practice, which from my experience is most effective as a labour of love.
