About Neelakantan
I have over 10 years of experience as a photographer. I started out as a wildlife photographer, which is now my go-to activity to wind down.
I started trying portrait photography in my home with a blank wall and a willing neighbour. That evolved after I came to Canada and my classmates were willing and enthusiastic to pose for me.
I started product photography in my small room because I was bored during my winter holidays in Winnipeg. I loved how I could experiment with light and backgrounds.
I was the official photographer as the Vice President of Marketing in my students' association and captured multiple events including volunteering to shoot an event for a competition organized in Winnipeg.
I was sought out by a classmate for my first paying photography gig in Canada when I shot his engagement. I have also done a graduation photoshoot after that.

Photography is versatile and there is a myriad of niches and specializations. Not every photographer wants to make it a business, and neither do all of them want to become wedding photographers.
My classes are available for people at all levels of photography and the content is tailored for the specific individual based on their experience and interests.
A typical lesson plan will include:

Settings for various situations
Terminology you should know +
A comprehensive lesson plan based on the student
The lessons will include assignments and tasks which will help you familiarise yourself with the equipment and the techniques. You will have the freedom to try your own ideas and I will provide feedback on them.
