About Leslie
I studied clarinet at the Eastman School of music with the late Stanley Hasty where I earned a Bachelor’s and Performer’s Certificate in Clarinet Performance and a Master’s in Clarinet from Florida State. I am a former member of the Florida Philharmonic and have played with many professional orchestras as a freelancer in Los Angeles. I have taught students of all ages and levels from beginners to adults and college students. I can help you reach your goals whether you want to play as a hobbyist or training for your next audition. I also have a masters in Music Education and have been teaching band for 20 years.

I will help you to identify your goals and develop a personal curriculum that will help you to reach them. Lessons will address aspects such as music literacy, building proper technique, tone control, articulation, musicianship, and literature. I’m also open to having you choose the music you would like to learn and can create exercises to help you to master various passages.
