About Kirsten
I am a church musician who directs choirs, teaches general music classes and offers private lessons. My students have ranged to beginners to doctoral candidates. With over 20 years of experience, I’ve taught music classes in variety of settings, group and private. Students I’ve had in the past have attended solo and ensembles contests, and advanced students have attended college and have worked in music careers.

I believe in a holistic approach in teaching: repertoire, ear training, improvisation, technique exercises and sight-reading. Students of mine will be given opportunities to perform often in public in order to combat “stage fright “ and build confidence in their skills.
