Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field? What?
My interest in music and drums began with exposure to diverse rhythms and genres. The intricate patterns and expressive nature fascinated me, driving my exploration and passion. I started experimenting with beats, learning techniques, and eventually performing. Through continuous practice and appreciation for the art form, my interest in this field blossomed into a profound love for music and drumming.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
The motivation behind choosing to teach stems from a desire to share knowledge, inspire others, and give back to the community. My two drum teachers, with their guidance, instilled in me the importance of passing on skills, fostering growth, and contributing to the next generation of musicians.
How does your work help society?
My work teaching music enriches society by nurturing creativity, promoting cultural understanding, and fostering personal development. Through music education, individuals learn collaboration, discipline, and self-expression, contributing to a more harmonious and culturally rich community.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
As a role model I will always choose my drum teachers, from whom I have got to know this artform, because they are the people who have always motivated me to achieve goals and break my own limit everytime.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
I have interests in learning different recording techniques, and to search for new instruments which i don't know about yet.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
Yes, definitely! In a live performance, our band faced technical glitches, halting the show momentarily. To manage the event, I stepped forward and played a drums solo, anchoring the moment with rhythm and energy. It exemplified how drummers, as the backbone of the band, can adapt and lead in unexpected situations. The crowd responded enthusiastically, feeding off the energy of the impromptu performance. This experience underscored the drummer's crucial role in maintaining momentum and showcased the power of improvisation in live music, proving that with creativity and skill, drummers can navigate any challenge and keep the show going seamlessly
