About Michael

I’m a professional vocalist, music director, and vocal coach with over 10 years of experience in live entertainment and performance. Through singing, coaching, and performing, my work has taken me to more than 60 countries across a wide range of live performance environments. I hold a BFA in Musical Theater from California State University, Fullerton, and am a member of Actors’ Equity Association. My career includes work as a vocalist for Disney, Universal, and Broadway-style national tours, as well as music direction and vocal coaching for organizations including RWS Global, Holland America Line, and Chicago Shakespeare Theater. I’m passionate about helping singers tell their story through their unique instrument and develop a voice that is confident, expressive, and sustainable, allowing their talent to truly shine in performance and professional settings.

About the lesson

I work with pre-professional and professional singers, musicians, and performers who want to tell their story through their voice and build a technique that holds up in real performance environments. My approach blends strong technical foundations with musical and emotional clarity, helping singers develop stamina, consistency, and confidence under pressure.

Lessons are structured, focused, and goal-driven, designed for performers preparing for auditions, contracts, and live performance work. This studio is best suited for singers who train consistently and are serious about developing a professional-level voice.

Perfect! My husband and I started lesson's with Michael and they have been worth every penny. We saw noticeable improvements day one and singing is just far more comfortable now! Michael is a laid-back and really approachable instructor and meets his students where they are in the learning process.

For my first lesson with Michael, he has already gone above and beyond to make sure I am getting the best value possible. He was only interested in learning how he could help me get to where I want to be as a singer, and we have started working towards steps to take in the right direction in order for me to get better vocally and get to where I need to be. I look forward to further vocal lessons with Michael!

I had a very positive experience studying with Michael. I liked watching the lessons back because I can practice with them and study.

I also thought it was cool he has performed with Disney.

Thanks Michael!

I started studying with Michael last month and I really appreciate all of his feedback and the fact that he records the lessons so I can practice. He also has hands on experience in the performing arts business and I thought that was important and helpful for my own growth.

My listed hourly rate reflects professional-level vocal training built around consistency, preparation, and real performance demands. Most singers I work with are pre-professional or professional performers training regularly for auditions, contracts, or live performance work. While individual sessions are available for an initial meeting or trial, ongoing students typically train weekly as part of a structured plan. I offer package rates for singers who commit to consistent training, which allows for deeper work, better results, and long-term vocal development.

*The complimentary 30-minute session is an introductory consultation to discuss goals, assess fit, and outline a training plan. It is not a full lesson.*
