About EunJu

I am a native Korean speaker with a teaching experience of more than 10 years giving private lessons in English, Mathematics and Korean. I studied English language at university to be able to communicate with people from all around the world and to be able to teach English and I have been able to work as an English tutor to young Korean students during and after graduating university. In London, I basically continued my job as a language teacher, but this time I taught Korean, my native language to English students wanting to learn Korean. The interest in Korean language and culture keeps increasing these days so I really have been enjoying teaching the language of my heart to learners and also sharing a bit of the culture and value of my country with others. I feel very privileged and thankful to see the students I teach improve from day to day, helping them to draw a step closer to their respective dreams. November 2017 - Now Superprof, Tutoring Korean to adults, London Taught Korean language to adults from beginner level to advanced level. Covered Korean grammar, vocabulary, conversation, listening and writing. November 2014 - November 2015 Ain Education, Seoul South Korea English and Mathematics teacher and tutor Taught English grammar, phrases and listening and mathematics in a private lesson to primary and secondary level students. Improved the grades of the students and prepared the students for their Korean College Scholastic Ability Test. Helped students to achieve their academic goals. November 2014 - November 2015 Jini Study, Seoul South Korea English lessons on video conferencing Taught English grammar, phrases and listening to primary and secondary level students in video conferencing sessions. Improved the grades of the students and prepared the students for their Korean College Scholastic Ability Test Reached out to the student and engaged them into the lesson by using video conferencing as a means of communication, experiencing how to use video conferencing technology to educate people from very early on. July 2014 – July 2014 Genius Education Academy, Seoul, South Korea Prepared the students for their school's English exams. Taught English grammar, phrases and listening to the students. Worked in an extracurricular education institution specialising in teaching and tutoring major school subjects such as English and maths with more than 150 students. Experienced classroom management not losing control over the class and also not neglecting the needs of the individual students. June 2014 – September 2014 Haesong Private Tutoring Academy, Seoul South Korea Taught English grammar, phrases and listening to primary and secondary level students in a private lesson.

I specialise in grammar and conversation for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. I use a combination of textbooks and also interactive learning methods via face-to-face conversation and also various internet tools and media.

Perfect! EunJu is so lovely and an amazing teacher! I look forward to my lesson every week. She makes Korean learning fun and interesting. I ask her so many questions and sometimes even deviate from our topic but EunJu is so patient and always happy to answer them. She does that clearly and makes sure I understand it.

A quick online search identified EunJu, and once I began learning with her, I stopped the uni course because I realised I was learning more, and at a faster rate, than via the uni course. Not only have I made considerable progress, but my understanding of the grammar has also greatly increased, as has my confidence. EunJu is excellent - patient, encouraging, great at/clear in explaining grammar and word usage - each class is immersive and a pleasure and, when we're finished, I feel I have really added further to my knowledge and understanding. I have become more confident in crafting sentences, my vocabulary/retention is increasing, and my spelling and pronunciation are improving. Homework is a pleasure rather than a task. Working with EunJu has been the best decision I could have made towards achieving my goal of learning Korean!

Perfect! I enjoy learning with EunJu! She's very patient and considerate of my busy working schedule. I feel very comfortable in my lessons to try and construct complex sentences, getting the necessary guidance when needed. Also, EunJu is always able to answer the millions of questions I have about the structure and quirks of Korean. As she herself is learning of Chinese, it further allows us to delve into the origins of Sino-Korean words, which I find extremely useful to recognise patterns.

I have been studying Korean with Eunju for the last 3+ years. Eunju has been a fabulous teacher - she explains well and is extremely patient. She also goes at your pace. My proficiency has come a long way as I started with no previous knowledge of the language. I really enjoy my lessons and I highly recommend Eunju if you are keen to learn Korean. Even though she is based in London and I am in Cape Town we have been able to meet in person which was amazing!
