About Morné
In 1992 I started teaching guitar at the Simon Kerdachi Academy of Music. I have a grade 6 in music theory obtained through the Royal Schools of Music (London). For several years I played in a band at the Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks, Durban North and various other venus like the Wild Coast Sun Casino and Hilton Hotel, Durban. I have 25 years experience as a guitar tutor.

If a person is a beginner I start by showing them a few basic chords. Then soon after I show them the basic methods of strumming and fingerstyle playing. Thereafter I teach them simple popular songs. At this stage I start to teach music reading, for those interested. At the intermediate and advance stage I teach them more complex chords and aspects of reading music. For those interested I include music composition.
