About Ben

I am a professional engineer and musician, with a master's degree in civil engineering and professional music experience playing in concerts gigs and various aspects of music production with grade 8 piano and music theory.

I am very passionate about these two things and in fact many people would be surprised how similar they are. I love teaching new people these skills and enriching their knowledge as well as hopefully learning something from them myself!

I have a creative mind that translates to more academic aspects of my life quite frequently. This has allowed me to create an environment for myself that is functional, enjoyable and scalable. I strive to embed this mindset into my teaching and hopefully enjoy the process along the way!

About the lesson

I offer structure and clarity to complicated problems. Often it is important to understand the fundamentals in great depth, allowing you to ramp up to the tricky areas quickly and accurately.

I like to make my teaching relatable to real life. I believe it is important to know WHY you are learning something and how this will benefit yourself and society. People engage and learn better at something they love, for me it is very important to leverage this.

My lessons are straight to the point and offer strategic reasoning and adaptable learning methods to meet the needs of the student. I like to understand a bit about who I am teaching, this allows me to streamline the lesson content and make it as palatable as possible.
