About Zelda

One of my favourite times at school was my GCSE years, I suddenly realised that science wasn't so bad after all. When I started learning in year 10, I was shocked at how interesting and beautiful Biology is, there is so much to know and I definitely did not have the time to know it all but I studied extremely hard and managed to get an A in my final examination. The best part, I fell in love with Biology. I took it for A-level and even studied it at university. This brings me to today, I am now a genetic trainer working in a large corporate company. I love it because I get to host and teach 3-day training courses to people of many different academic backgrounds and levels. I get to spread the knowledge that I've been working hard to learn for almost 10 years!

About the lesson

Are you sick of your Biology teacher lecturing the class and not actually breaking it down step by step what is going on? Are you a visual learner? Or maybe you like audio or reading? If so, you're in the right place. I approach tutoring with a welcoming attitude to any learning style. We'll try everything until you understand, even if this means we're spending hours playing vocabulary Jenga just to get those tough biological terms into your head. I say hours, don't worry my lessons will only be an hour at a time, but the time will be valuable and you will learn plenty. We'll always start with a game, then we'll work on something you are struggling with and to finish we'll do an exam question to make sure you know exactly what to say in that GCSE or A-level paper! I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology which is how I got where I am today. I am also trained in adaptable learning, creative lesson planning, and revision techniques.
