About Jack

I am a professional GCSE Maths and Further Maths tutor with over 7 years experience. I have successfully helped all of of my students pass or improve their GCSE's, many who've gone on to A-level. I'm a qualified engineer (BEng 1st class hons) but prefer to teach. I work with various age groups and provide a comfortable and encouraging atmosphere.

Since students have been sent home with little direction, in particular GCSE students who've had their exams cancelled, I am also expanding my teaching to include more real-life and creative aspects; maths in the real world, business, budgeting, marketing and creative pursuits for example. I have run my own tutoring business for years alongside several musical projects and have acquired skills in many areas. Please see my resources for an example of a bespoke course I am currently offering to two of my GCSE students in creative business.

Because his lessons are so well structured they are seemingly light hearted and fun filled but actually are set to challenge and stretch. Jack struck an instant rapport with our son who in the past had shown little enthusiasm for Maths and learning in general. Within months he was moved up two sets.

I am particularly impressed with how Jack tailors his teaching to meet our child’s needs by providing online Maths tuition and its application to life skills. As our son no longer requires to sit his GCSE exams, Jack has been providing online support for upcoming A Levels which includes teaching Business and Media.
