About Cat
I'm a very curious person, I adore learning about the world around me and use photography to help me tell stories and show the beauty I see in the world. I've been in the photography industry for the past 11 years and it's taken me all over the world, from deserts in Namibia to glaciers in Antarctica, from a photo conference in Las Vegas to creating personal work in Tokyo. I'm a finalist in the film section of Travel Photographer of the Year 2025 and have had my work published in British Vogue and on the front page of the New York Times. I adore teaching, it fills my heart up when people show me work they've created after learning from one of my talks or workshops and to hear people get excited about career opportunities is awesome. I'm all about lifting up the community of photographers around the world and sharing my knowledge with others.

I'm really passionate about helping other photographers navigate the photography industry and make a living from their work. Born and raised in Dublin, I've just moved home after 14 years living abroad in Iceland, Norway and the UK. I graduated from a degree in photography in Norwich University of the Arts in 2014 and since then have worked on commercial shoots in London, led northern lights photo workshops in Norway, ran a commercial and portrait photography business in Iceland and worked on an expedition ship going from Greenland to Antarctica where I taught photo workshops to the passengers. I've also given talks and workshops for Canon and for various universities and arts centers. In our lesson, we can focus on whatever you're most excited to learn about - be it workflow, goal-planning, pitching, networking, photography skills, personal projects development, editing skills, etc. Being a photographer is a rollercoaster but it's such a wonderful career, opening up doors to places and people you'd never meet otherwise. Let's get you on the path of creating work you're really excited about!
