About Tori
With a strong background in social work and activism, as well as creative writing, performance art, and socially engaged art, I am passionate about incorporating non-traditional learning styles into the classroom and educating the whole person. I am dedicated to adapting pedagogy to meet the needs of all learners. Through my work, I strive to encourage self-discovery, foster a passion for critical and creative thinking, and empower students from diverse backgrounds through arts and literature. I'm a professional artist and published writer with over fifteen years of experience both in the field and in the classroom. As I've more or less retired from my time actively engaged in the arts, I've decided to dedicate more of my time to educating the next generation.

I have over fifteen years of experience both in the field and in the classroom. I have taught art, creative writing, and English to primarily middle and high school students, but I welcome students from all ages and backgrounds. As a first generation college graduate, I'm particularly passionate about helping students find their creative voice and work through the writing needed for college applications. As a tutor, I welcome adapting lesson plans to individual needs and ensuring that the learning environment is fun and creative potential is realized.
