Hello and welcome! I am a degree-qualified translator with a strong interest in language, communication and helping people connect through words.

I offer personalised online Afrikaans conversation lessons designed to help adults develop confidence in speaking and understanding Afrikaans in everyday situations.

About the lesson

I focus on conversational Afrikaans by using everyday situations, useful vocabulary and simple conversations to help students develop their speaking and listening skills.

My goal is to help students build confidence and gradually become more comfortable speaking Afrikaans in real-life situations by creating a relaxed learning environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes and practise without feeling embarrassed.

I use practical dialogues, role-play and everyday expressions to help students communicate in real situations and work towards each student's personal goals, such as speaking with an Afrikaans-speaking partner, communicating at work or understanding local conversations.

I adjust the pace, vocabulary and activities to suit the student's current level and confidence.
