About Amalia
Hello! My name is Amalia, and I have a genuine passion for helping young learners grow in confidence and reach their full potential. I enjoy working with children and find it incredibly rewarding to see them overcome challenges and realize what they are capable of achieving.
My interest in teaching Afrikaans comes from wanting to help students feel more comfortable and confident using the language. I know that many learners find Afrikaans challenging, and I enjoy breaking concepts down into simple, understandable steps that make learning less stressful and more enjoyable.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy staying active, spending time with family and friends, and continuing to learn new things myself. I believe that every student deserves a patient and encouraging teacher who believes in them, and I strive to be that person for every learner I work with.
I look forward to helping students improve their Afrikaans skills while building confidence that extends far beyond the classroom.

I believe that every student can succeed in Afrikaans with the right support, patience, and encouragement. My teaching style is relaxed, positive, and personalised to suit each student's learning style and individual needs. I strive to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions and learning without fear of making mistakes.
My lessons focus on improving reading, writing, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, comprehension, and oral language skills. Whether a student needs help understanding classroom work, preparing for tests, completing homework, or building confidence in speaking Afrikaans, I adapt each lesson to help them achieve their goals.
A typical lesson includes revising school content, explaining concepts in a simple and practical way, working through exercises together, and providing opportunities to practise and apply new skills. My goal is to help students improve their understanding while making Afrikaans feel less intimidating and more enjoyable.
My lessons are designed for students from Grade 1 to Grade 7 who are looking for extra support, improved academic performance, or greater confidence in Afrikaans.
