About Lucy
I trained in a London-based Drama School for 2 years and went straight in to the Arts industry as a professional actor. I have been a core member of the award-nominated repertory theatre company Arrows & Traps for 3 years.
I have experience in directing and teaching a wide range contemporary work as well as classical, including Shakespeare. As well as theatre I am also well-versed in screen work. Not only was this included in my training, but I also worked behind the scenes on the TV Soap 'Emmerdale' as a 3rd AD and ASM.

Communication is vital when it comes to teaching. It allows for a better experience for both student and tutor; it encourages the student to become more engaged, and the tutor can get a better understanding of how that individual best learns and locate the areas within which they are struggling.
When approaching LAMDA Examinations there is a syllabus which needs to be adhered to in order to obtain the best qualifications, just as there is in GCSE and A-Level Drama. However, there is also a freedom when choosing which pieces to perform. I like to assess the student and provide them with a number of options which will best suit their abilities, whilst also taking in to account any particular requests they might have. This also applies with my approach to Drama School audition practice. Finding the right pieces can be hard, and the whole process can be very daunting. My goal, apart from giving you the best chance of being offered a placement, is to make the whole process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.
