About Joe
I’m a twice-published author (both Simon & Schuster), an award-winning playwright, a produced screenwriter, and a script consultant.
I’ve also worked for many years as a copywriter/Creative Director in advertising and entertainment where I learned to create/mimic the voices of scores of national brands and entertainment properties including GE, Visa, Pepsi, The Matrix series, the Harry Potter series, and many others.
In other words, I’m a very versatile and prolific writer with a deep understanding and affection for smart story structure, gripping narratives, and efficient writing.

We start with your spark of inspiration and brainstorm the possible paths to bring it to life the way you see it. Then we tease out the various story structure elements, create a solid outline, followed by a detailed treatment, and then dive into the writing. Along the way, I'll advise you on how to make your writing as tight, engaging, and meaningful as possible.
I've worked in TV, Film, Theater, and Advertising for the last thirty years and have been an avid student of writing the entire time. I'm fascinated by the process and eager to show you what you are truly capable of.
These lessons are for beginners who want to learn the basics of powerful storytelling, experienced writers who want to take their skills to the next level, and stars who want to be challenged to see just how good they can be.
