About Adam

I have now been privately tutoring Spanish from my home for over three months, and look to continue doing so for the foreseeable future. The hands-on experience and feedback that I have received has led to me adjusting honing the way that I conduct my classes, and I am constantly looking for ways to improve my techniques in order to maximise the enjoyment and learning that clients receive from my lessons.

In addition, I completed an introductory TEFL course in 2013 and I spent the following summer teaching English to students at the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP) in Santander, Spain.

About the lesson

An enthusiastic, friendly and keen linguist who is constantly looking to expand my own knowledge in addition to helping others to develop theirs. I would be delighted to offer ad-hoc assistance and advice to students of all ages, from Primary School right up to Undergraduate level.

A recent undergraduate from St Peter's College, Oxford University, I have been awarded an Upper Second Class Honours (2.1) in Spanish & Brazilian Portuguese, however I also have a great deal of expertise in developing English reading and writing skills as well. As part of my degree, I spent 6 months in Spain and 5 months in Brazil honing my oral and written fluency in the two languages comprising my degree.

I am a former student of King's College School, Wimbledon, where I obtained 44 out of a maximum of 45 points in the International Baccalaureate (equivalent to A* A* A* A in A-level) and 12A* at GCSE level.

Based in Esher, Surrey - able to drive.

He is a patient, knowledgeable, and understanding teacher. I have seen this first hand as I was able to observe one of Adam's lessons in September 2017.

When in Spain for a work-related trip, I was able to see how comfortable Adam was conversing with locals. What was particularly impressive was that he was able to hold a conversation with Spanish speakers but also interpret for me.

I'd highly recommend Adam as a tutor. His knowledge and understanding of the Spanish language and the country's culture makes him an interesting person to learn from. He is also very friendly so I'm sure pupils will get along well with him.
