During the Initial Lesson, I'll take the time to hear the student play something that they've spent some time with so I can see where they have strengths, and where we can work. Lessons will then be geared towards helping the student to learn as efficiently as we can, and have a lot of fun doing it. Some students prefer straight technique work, while others do better incorporating it as they play, and my goal is to find that balance and help sponsor growth.
