About Leah
I offer high-quality tutoring in English, maths, phonics, and 11+ preparation for children aged 5–11. Lessons are carefully structured and include a mix of modelling, guided practice, and review, always adapted to suit your child’s pace and learning style. Our first meeting is a chance for me to get to know your child—their current level, learning style, and any areas they find challenging or want to improve. This helps me plan personalised lessons that meet their individual needs. During this session, we’ll talk through how the lessons will work, confirm availability, and you’ll have the chance to ask any questions. Together, we’ll agree on clear goals to support your child’s progress and confidence. I believe that every child can thrive with the right support, and I pride myself on creating lessons that are engaging, personalised, and supportive. My calm, friendly approach helps children feel at ease and ready to learn. I take time to understand each learner’s needs, celebrate their progress, and build their independence step by step.

I offer engaging, personalised English and Maths lessons for children aged 5–11 (KS1 and KS2), tailored to build confidence and close gaps in understanding. My sessions use proven strategies including modelling, scaffolding, retrieval practice, and interactive games to support different learning styles. Each lesson lasts 60 minutes and is carefully structured to promote long-term progress. I hold a PGCE with QTS and have experience teaching across both Key Stages, including working with children with SEND and EAL. As well as general support, I provide targeted preparation for entry exams such as the 11+, helping students develop the skills, exam techniques, and confidence needed to succeed. Whether your child needs catch-up support, stretch and challenge, or focused exam practice, my sessions are calm, encouraging, and tailored to individual needs.
