About Emilia
Hi! My name is Emilia! I am a certified native English teacher from Canada. I speak English, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and some French. I have worked in immigration centers in Canada and in private schools where I taught intensive TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses. I was a TOEFL scorer in the past, so I know the requirements and how to get a good grade on the exam. Nowadays, I mainly give private English, Portuguese and Russian lessons and in the near future, I plan to open my own language school. Like many people, I like to travel, watch series, go to the beach and spend time on the internet. When I am not teaching, I usually write or try out new recipes. I love the sea and spending time at the beach on hot days

The structure of your lessons will depend on your objectives and your learning style. If you are preparing for an exam, the lessons will be more rigid with enough homework so that you have lots of opportunities to practice until the day of your exam. For general English lessons, we will focus on conversation, but we will also devote time to grammar and writing. There will be homework, but it will be fun ;) I have a general lesson structure, but everything depends on you, the student, because everyone learns in their own special way. Excellent! Sympathique mais pas mon style de cours
Perfect! I decided to put 5 stars because Emilia is a great teacher for her age. She ask some questions about you to help you speak, so you have the opportunity to improve your speaking. I like also because in first, you talk always about your week and you tell her your story ; she is enjoying this moment to correct you on your sentences. With the time, I am seeing that I am doing less some mistakes. She has also a imaginary mindset when She is giving homeworks because thoses match with your goal and you don't expect some homework like that. Finally, if you are invested, she does it as well.

Elle sait être à l’écoute de nos attentes et construit son programme en fonction de nos objectifs, le support de cours est envoyé à l’avance, où sont précisés les différentes tâches et objectifs à atteindre.Nous avons pris l’habitude d’introduire le cours avec un dialogue sur un sujet actuel, pour poursuivre sur des points de grammaire et la mise en pratique. Avec Emilia mon niveau d’anglais progresse de jour en jour, de part sa langue native et grâce à sa pédagogie mon niveau évolue sur de très bonnes bases. Je ne peux que recommander !

Emilia is a really great teacher. I was fortunate enough to work with her in Salta, Argentina, where we teach advanced English classes to adults. Emilia was always prepared and organized and her students loved her positive attitude and energy every day. Collectively, her students obtained the highest marks in the final exams of everyone in the program. Anyone would be lucky to have Emilia for a teacher!

I prepared with Emilia for my Toefl!! It was very fun. She gave me lots of exercises and homework. We had a lot of repetition and I thought it was boring, but it really helped me understand the structure for my speaking responses and writing tasks. She gave me homework every class and then we corrected it together so I could see my mistakes. I really appreciate Emilias help since I was able to achieve 108 on my exam!! My requirement was 90, so I am very happy!! Thanks !
