Hello! I’m a native Cantonese and Mandarin speaker from Hong Kong and currently studying for physiotherapy in the UK. I am a native Chinese speaker, but I truly understand that learning Cantonese or Mandarin can feel unfamiliar and challenging, especially for beginners, and I completely understand that. Many students worry about making mistakes or not “getting it right”, which is why I place a strong emphasis on creating a comfortable and encouraging learning space. I believe progress comes from feeling safe to try, not from pressure or rushing. Lessons are always adjusted to your comfort level, and you are never expected to be perfect. Whether you need time to practice speaking, ask questions, or revisit something slowly, that is always welcome. My aim is to support you in building confidence step by step, so I focus strongly on learning through real conversation and everyday situations. Lessons often include practical examples from daily life, as well as films or TV dramas, to help you understand how Cantonese or Mandarin is naturally used and to make learning more engaging and memorable. I hope students learning Chinese can feel approachable, achievable, and even enjoyable over time.
