About Alexander
I am a postgrad student on hiatus while I run my charitable organisation (cic) in the West Midlands--we are a multiethnic advocacy group!
My background is theology and counselling, my passion is history, religions and Third World (Global South) movements. All of history is a chance to explore historiography, the methodologies of telling history, and geographies of knowledge. Let's dive into that for your subject!
I work across a few fields. My last academic book work was with Palgrave Macmillan's Postcolonialism and Religions Series. We brought together a multi-author volume on 'Decolonizing Liberation Theologies', edited by Nicolás Panotto, Luis Martínez Andrade.
My passion in my field, even before gaining my MA, has seen me work with some of the biggest names in the study of religions. My personal interest is historical: how social and religious movements develop, how historical moments become crucibles, how geographies and migrations shape our horizons. I can help you discern and describe what you are seeing in your texts, your times, and your test sheets!

We're going to link up your knowledge, your interests, your understanding with what's going to get you your grades, and what will give you an even greater fluency in the field than the curriculum requires.
Connections will be made between specific disciplines and broader conversations in the humanities, with special reference to thinkers from Global South perspectives.
You will discover documents, archives, experts in the field, and online resources -- with pointers of what to look out for, with a focus on methods, and with your intuitions guiding the crafting of your research.
We can sit down on a video call (or a call) for an agreed amount of time and find out what works for you. Let's get this done. I'm certain that the subjects will come even more alive. You will leave this process feeling confident in your ability to say what you want to say.
