About Jaqueline
In my 7-8 years experience as a mentor and tutor has been rewarded as it installed more knowledge in my life as I still managed to graduate cum laude for my NQF level 6 with a total weighted average of more than 77% and my NQF level 7 with a total weighted average of more than 72%, which opened various opportunities as I had the chance of being a Vice Chancellor Scholarship recipient for both my Undergraduate Diploma and Advanced Diploma and exposed me to leadership courses such as the Vice Chancellor Scholarship Personal Development and Leadership, and again obtained merit awards for 5 years in the university and again obtaining an award for achievers with Halls and Sons during my graduation.
I strongly believe that open , clear communication with students is one element in assisting them learn. When I look back at my very own learning g experience in the University, I greatly respect the values of the institution and the support I’ve, caring environment that it provides between the different lecturers and students. As such, in my prospective career as one of the Superproof candidate, I then look forward to working in a great learning as well as teaching environment with both students and learners where I can actually grow academically at the prospect of being part of their academic excellence and prosperity and again welcoming the opportunity to develop and well with other learners and students.

My objective as an academic is to always motivate my students in developing their very own learning interest together with critical thinking in establishing a student-centered environment in the lecture hall. Moreover, being part of the student support services in the past years ,during my years as an undergraduate and postgraduate student in University has made me aware of the interests as well as the needs of an ethnically diverse student body. Therefore, I always ensure that I have lesson plans prepared prior to mentor or tutor sessions, considering the great interconnection between the students knowledge, learning abilities ,the discussed subject matter as well as different social issues.
Furthermore, I always choose content as well as activities which are both challenging and significant for my students in such a way that they are stimulated to think beyond their comfort zone and feel involved in the learning process. Another great character, I adore most about my teaching ways is collaborative learning which is one of my tutorial philosophy for promoting reflective thinking as well as improving communication skills.
