About Tanya

Working as a full-time teaching assistant during the day I have experience with all sorts of teaching methods… I was born in South Africa and spent 9 years in Portugal. Now living in Britain for 8 years That’s where my bilingual comes in

About the lesson

If you're seeking to gain some knowledge of Portuguese… Who better to teach a language than someone who is from the country?! Our first lesson will be more of an introduction and see on what level your knowledge of Portuguese is, take it from there, I would also ask you to purchase certain books… or I could email you a few things before our lesson. I’m old school… the fact of grabbing a pen writing things down is the best way to take in the knowledge, technology is great, but just by sitting in front of your pc listening isn’t the best way to learn.. not for me. I teach Portuguese to beginners and also help foreign Portuguese students/adults who need to learn basic English… I have also given a few lessons to the holiday seekers, to understand a little of Portuguese before on their holiday abroad. My teaching method is trying to have a little bit of fun.. it’s a good way to remember a few things, hopefully make you or your child want to carry on learning.
