About Rhian
As a portrait and lifestyle photographer I create emotive and authentic portraits for actors, brands and theatre companies across the UK and beyond.
In a previous life I studied music and was a self-confessed stagey geek before landing a ‘proper job’ managing lifestyle brand events for magazines. The urge to be creative never really left, so 5 years ago I ditched the corporate world to find a way back to my creative roots.
The thing that I always try to embody in my images is emotive energy - sometimes exhilarating joy, sometimes stark vulnerability. Whatever it is, I want to capture it with honesty and care.
I've been able to work with some amazing companies such as Jet2, Sporting Heritage UK and Brown & Newirth Jewellery, and am excited to be able to help new photographers achieve their dreams of working in the industry too.

My approach to tutoring is that I like to meet students where they are at - we can discuss all of the areas you will need help in and I will tailor each session to your individual needs. I'm a big believer in you learn as you do, so we will go through lots of practical exploration of techniques and practices. My lessons are aimed at beginners and improvers who are 16+. Lessons can be provided online or in person at my studio in Leeds City Centre (2 mins walk from the train station).
