About Noel
I am a graduate of the prestigious Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas, where I studied creative writing and served as the literary editor for the school's official literary and arts magazine. As a student and in the time since graduating, I have gained 3 years of tutoring experience, supporting writers with a wide range of goals.

I tutor with a non-directive, non-evaluative approach, which means that I trust in you -- your own knowledge, your own goals -- to drive the session. Of course, we will work together to identify where your writing has room to grow, but I'm not here to tell you what's good or what's bad.
My sessions begin with a discussion about what you are noticing in your work and what your goals are. Then, I give you my feedback as a reader. From there, anything can happen; you decide how you want to move forward and I will be there to be your sounding board and support you.
As a poet, I have a very keen awareness of both each individual word and macro-level flow. I am creative in my passion and I bring that lens to all work, even if you want to work on a dense research paper.
My tutoring style works best with folks who are at least in middle school, but I have the most experience working with college students, professionals, and students of life.
