About Justin
I am a native Nuyorican playwright and performer. I graduated from AMDA New York and later received my B.A. from Queens College. My first play, "Three’s a Party," had its world premiere as part of the Juntos Project, in collaboration with Teatro Bravo and Mesa Community College in Arizona. I am one of the inaugural recipients of the Creative Access Grant from Primary Stages.
My second play, "On a Higher Vibration", had a reading at 59E59 Theaters. My third play, "Time, Don’t Take It Away", was part of the 2023 Latinx Playwrights Circle Intensive Mentorship and received a reading at The Clemente in New York. I was also selected as a playwright for Harlem9 and Pregones’ "48 Hours in El Bronx" Festival in 2025. A live recording of "Time, Don't Take It Away" will be available to stream as a podcast from The Parsnip Ship.
I want to share what I've learned over my career as a writer, re-writer, re-re-re-rewriter, editor, imaginer, and theatermaker. I want to impart some of the tips and tricks I have acquired over the years to help your voice emerge and burst off the page!

In my years in writing classes, courses, and writers' rooms, in workshops and rehearsal rooms, I've picked up plenty of tips and tricks to help UNLEASH THE STORY that you have locked up inside.
Coursework could include: generative writing exercises, thematic exploration, formatting, and feedback sessions if desired.
The lessons are for anyone who wants to start writing! Beginner storytellers, college grads, all are welcome!
