About Hannah
I am a music graduate with experience in teaching piano, composition and improvisation. I am a classical composer, so I have a strong understanding of classical music, as well as the piano itself. I also love jazz and started as a jazz player before moving to classical. Additionally, I have strong music analysis skills, which are imperative when breaking down a piece in terms of interpretation and technique.

As both a musician and teacher, I always maintain what is often forgotten - that music is an art form. This is imperative to me when teaching students; as seeing music as an art form rather than a technical skill makes a huge difference. The difference being between a good musician and a great one. It is important that my students' understand what they are playing, before learning a piece. By not only focussing on the technical, learning by ear, improvisation and compositional tools become second nature, which is invaluable as a discipline.
