About Maya
Nice to meet you! My name's Maya, I'm a classically trained pianist and singer with over 10 years of experience. I started singing and playing the piano from a very young age, but my formal training began at the age of 12 when I attended Northwest School of the Arts. At Northwest, I studied as a Piano, Vocal and Musical Theatre major from 6th grade all the way through my senior year of High school. During this time I was also receiving private training from some of the most elite teachers in the area as well as competing in high profile competitions. One of my proudest accomplishments include winning 1st place in the National Musical Theatre Competition! After high school, I went on to pursue my degree in Music Education at Wingate University on a full ride scholarship! I am so grateful for all of the opportunities I have been able to experience on my journey and I look forward to being a part of yours!
