About Jordan
I am a recent Astrophysics graduate at Cardiff university, but I am originally from Stevenage. I have tutored peers and younger students in my secondary school, as well as assisting collegues at my University level. At A level I achieved 2 A* in mathematics and further mathematics with an A in physics and I have been achieving +85% averages for each of my university years, scoring top of my class for 1st year.
Whilst I do specialise in tutoring from GCSE (KS3) level and higher, I have tutored for as young as year 5 (KS2) maths and have recieved good feedback.
From 2018 - 2020 I worked as a science communicator at Techniquest in Cardiff, where I would work on the exhibition floor, doing science demonstrations and explaining some of the physical principles of the exhibits. I would also be a presenter of our Science theatre shows where we would perform various experiments and demonstrations on a variety of topics ranging from the human body to organic chemistry to space flight, all of which were aimed at the general public.

I am entering the final year of my PhD in astrophysics and gravitational waves at Cardiff University having previously graduated Astrophysics MPhys degree with honours and top of my class. I have a deep love for the mathematical method which has greatly enhanced my development in the understanding of the physical world. At A-level I received 2 A*s in mathematics and further mathematics with an A in physics, and have been tutoring physics for the past 5 years at various levels.
I am happy to tutor anything from the mathematics or physics courses from secondary educational level to A-Level. Typically, my teaching style is to explain why processes happen and how they work at a fundamental level as once these processes are mastered everything else simply becomes a combination and application of these methods. I find that especially with mathematics the best way to learn is to have a solid understanding of how it works at a fundamental level. When someone is able to apply their own knowledge to solve a problem the work will be much more cemented in their brain.
Lessons will first begin with an overview of the topic on the day, followed by a worked example and then examples that the student will undertake.

Jordan is awesome and really smart, witty and generally a lovely person. He can explain complicated terms with simple words and make everything fun at the same time. I would definitely recommend him!
I have known Jordan for a very long time both personally and professionally and seen his abilities in both his own learning and supporting others go from strength to strength. I have teached others for over 13 years and Jordans ability to be able to deliver a message and ensure that learning sticks with individuals is fantastic.
Jordan is a highly skilled and professional individual who holds both math and learning to a high degree. His level of both interaction and simplifying his methods is one that holds perfect weight for any tutoring method and I have no reason to doubt his ability to tutor and been trusted in doing so.I know Jordan through becoming colleagues a few years ago and now he is a very good friend! During our time spent together I would be forever learning new things from him, whether it was Maths or Science, his patience and knowledge is why he would make an excellent tutor!
I fully believe that if you are looking for a patient, hard working, easy going tutor then Jordan is the way to go! He will provide you with other amazing facts about life too I’m sure!
I have known Jordan for many years now, and can honestly say he is such a kind person, who enjoys helping others. He always puts in his best efforts and is very trustworthy. No doubt he would he be great and do the most he possibly could to help students out.
