About Tom
I’m currently in my first year of my Physics with an integrated master degree at Imperial College London, ranked as 2nd best university globally. I achieved 4A*s at A-level in Maths, Further maths, Physics and Chemistry with the A* achieved in Maths a year early. I have several academic awards from national subject challenges, student of the year for natural sciences and recently passed the PAT Oxford physics entrance exam. I decided to become a tutor to help students achieve their dream grades and to teach in such a way that is engaging but also pushes the student beyond what they thought they were capable of.

Lessons vary in length from 30, 60, 120 minutes depending on preference. Usually cover one or two topics per lesson to ensure a solid understanding. Ideally you should come into the lesson with an idea of topics you wish to review and preferably some questions you are currently working on. Questions can be provided but this could mean that they are not on your exam board specification. We will start by consolidating your knowledge on the topic with examples and then progress to supervised exam style questions or, if preferred, jump straight into some questions you are working on. The lessons are for all ages and can cover A-level, GCSE or anything below. New to academic tutoring but have previous experience coaching on video games.
