About Sebastián

I have two years of experience as a private teacher. I have advised many high school students from different schools in Bogotá, Colombia, and towns surrounding the city. My students have obtained good results in their exams and have improved their study techniques and learning of the topics covered with the help of my consultancies. The vast majority are high school students (from ninth grade to eleventh grade), and thanks to my classes, their performance in both subjects has improved significantly.

About the lesson

I am a physicist graduated from the National University of Colombia, with experience in Astronomy. I have 2 years of experience in private math and physics classes for high school and university students. My classes cover the different branches that are studied at these levels: algebra, trigonometry, calculus (from differential to multivariate), basic geometry, Newtonian mechanics, waves, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, relativity, quantum and optical physics. In my classes I stimulate autonomous work and analytical and intuitive reasoning, while clarifying all kinds of doubts and problems that my students may have with the topics we study in each session. I am organized and practical, I accompany my students at all times and I make sure that each class has been useful for their study sessions and preparation of works, exams and homework. Generally, my classes consist of a first theoretical part, where I explain the important concepts of the subject, while we review the content that my students have already advanced with their teachers in their classes at college or university. The rest of the class consists of a practice session, with problems and exercises proposed by me, or exercises that my students have to develop or work according to the case or the urgency of the class.
