About Anabel
I have a degree in Hispanic Philology by the University of Valencia. I also got my Master's Degree in Teaching and have worked as a high school Languages and ASN (aditional suppor needs) teacher in Scotland for 6 years.
I have 10 years experience helping pupils improve their languages (Spanish, French, Catalan and even English). I have provided support and tools to prepare for SQA official exams, as well as DELE, or just boost the pupils' fluency and confidence for oral exams.
In addition, I have 5 years experience teaching Spanish to adults who are interested in the language and the culture and want mainly to improve their language skills and being able to communicate and immerse in the culture of the Spanish speaking countries they travel to.

Depending on the objectives, needs and interests of the student, I use one methodology or another. I am very adaptable and my priority is to help the student to improve and enjoy.
Normally I would structure the lesson so that different aspects of the same subject can be touched in the hour.
For example, in a general communciation class, we would start by learning an important point about grammar, or something the pupil would struggle with initially, so we can work over it along the hour. We would also read a text in Spanish so the student can work on their reading comprehension skills, followed by some speaking exercises and conversation, where the pupil can improve their fluency and communciation skills.
Finally, I would maybe as for a written expression exercise and check on any pronunciation or spelling problems.
This is one example of how I would structure the class, but I would like to stress that everything depends on the student's needs and goals.
