About Dylan
Native Chinese speaker, certified PSC L1-B; experienced HSK teacher; PhD, MA, BA in traditional Chinese Literature, Assistant Professor in Chinese Language and Literature before immigrated to Canada, research expertises in Late Tang Poetry and Taoism. I have more than 10 years of teaching in universities in China and Canada, and more than 8 years of Chinese - English translation working experiences aroundthe world. I write traditional CHinese poems myself and also Chinese caligraphy. I have extensive knowledge in traditional Chinese culture, history and literature. I taught HKS courses in China and Chinese literature in both China and Canada.

Based on knowledge of pinyin to simplified Chinese characters (traditional characters optional); teaching bilingually in English/Madarin;
For HSK students: full set of level 1-5 HSK official textbooks in Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing and Grammar, help you to successfully past HSK 5 text after learning; teaching in Mandarin after HSK3;
For advanced professional students: subject focused teaching - on your needs or interests, from business, media, social to cultural topics; teaching in Mandarin, with English assistance occasionally;
For traditional Chinese culture/literature learners: topic focused; teaching in English or Mandarin;
For translation students: Learning through practices.
