About Deepshikha

I am a Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology from the University of Delhi (2018). To date, I have taught as an Assistant Professor of Botany at various reputed colleges of DU with an overall 6 years experience. I also am proficient in Senior school level Biology/Zoology. Apart from that I am thoroughly acquainted with topics related to Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physiology, EVS and so on. I am capable of teaching senior secondary school, UG and PG levels. I am also interested in branching out towards AI, data science and bioinformatics which are rapidly becoming the norm of the day. I am highly interested in developing a teaching-learning methodology which is an optimal balance of traditional education and modern way of learning. With the challenge of burgeoning data/information of the modern world, it becomes a matter of concern to be able to sift genuine information from misinformation. As a teacher it will be my endeavor to guide the young minds through the meanders of modern day education in the subjects concerned. My goal is to spark the minds to think critically and question their environment, necessary for their holistic development.

About the lesson

For online mode of classes, I adopt a method combining simultaneous lecture and visual PowerPoint presentations according to the topic. The student is free to interject and clarify doubts during the session, thereby promoting an interactive atmosphere. The round-up session encompasses summarising the lecture with basic QandA followed by lesson discussion. The pace of the lesson shall remain flexible in accordance with comprehension and comfort level of the students. In addition to the subjects mentioned in my profile, more topics related to NEET preparation and other entrance exams will also be covered. Topics related to syllabus (senior school/UG/PG) shall be covered. Students will develop critical and scientific way of thinking, with focus on problem solving skills rather than rote learning.
