About Austin
So, I started out as an Undergraduate majoring in "Integrative Animal Biology" a big fancy three words for Zoology. I always loved animals growing up, so I stuck with it my whole life, even into my current role as a doctoral student.
My current work is with squids, some of the coolest organisms on the planet, and I have the great pleasure of getting to describe new species of squid! And one of my biggest passions is being able to be a scientific communicator and educator. I have always tried my best to inspire people who love science, or don't love science to get out there and try to make science fun, because it absolutely can be.
If you're having a hard time learning about the intricacies of animals, or if you are struggling to sample those freshwater invertebrates, let's get out there and have some fun!
I can help with course work including preparing for exams, just generally lessons about complicated topics, if you have more field-based courses I can assist with sampling methods, and everything in between. Also good with helping people find good quality scientific literature and how to synthesize that information into a paper.

Biological science courses can be difficult, but I hope to offer students a unique and fun look that can make science fun, while helping the student study.
We can take complex problems, and make them easy to understand.
I had the pleasure of working through my Master's degree as a teaching assistant usually teaching basic Biology courses, but as time went by, I began to specialize.
Typically, we can do a solid 1 hour of tutoring, but we can do more or less depending on how you are feeling regarding your current status in your course.
I can make lessons for elementary all the way through the undergraduate in university.
