About Lauren
I am a PhD student studying experimental psychology. I have taught psychology previously and have a passion for its historical background (how the area progressed) as well as its application in modern clinical settings. I hold a BA Psychology with honours from Macquarie University in Australia, and have worked in industry for 6 years before going back to university to do my PhD. I am not restricted to only teaching psychology - I recently won second place in a NASA challenge for a course I developed to teach engineers to implement the ION (a.k.a. space internet) for use on the International Space Station.

My teaching methodology is very much dependent on the individual student. I tend to lean towards quite visual teaching - using images, diagrams and animations, however, am able to recognise and tailor my approach to individual learning styles. I find where each student is at and ensure that my lessons have the right balance of support and challenge - to ensure no student is left behind their class but also that they don't get bored.
