About Frédéric
I have been studying cell biology for 10 years now and my PhD gives me the opportunity to push back the most cutting-edge knowledge of how cells behave and interact. Thanks to this knowledge I can fundamentally understand diseases such as Alzheimer's, diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular diseases, cancer and digestive diseases, but also anything related to metabolism like the effect of the ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting on our body ... we as humans are all made of cells, and understanding how cells work and communicate means that we can understand how our body works and why it sometimes becomes dysfunctional. It's a superpower that I definitely want to pass on.

I call it the 3-step puzzle method: 1) We look at the cover of the puzzle to see what will result out of this knowledge 2) We get into the weeds to understand and put down the different pieces of the puzzle 3) We take a step back to put all together the pieces and link them, and understand how multicellular organisms are beautifully arranged. That's the most important part for retention of information. My lessons are addressed for cegep, bachelors and master/PhD, especially for metabolism and cell signaling which are my specific subject of thesis. My mother tongue is French but I am fluent in English.
