About Sarwat

I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. With experience working at both the elementary and college levels, as well as in activities outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer. I was working as a lecturer at Government Girls Zubeida College, Hyderabad Pakistan before coming here UK for my PhD studies.
My first classroom teaching experience was during The City school Jinnah Campus Pakistan. I was an English teacher for Junior levels for three years. In addition, I worked for several co-curricular activities and organized various programs.
I have student teaching experience on the Intermediate and Postgraduate levels, in my organization. I particularly enjoy working with children from rural backgrounds. My careful preparation of lessons allowed me to break down complicated concepts to simple examples that my young students could grasp, which was rewarding for both my students and me. Every year I have students from diverse backgrounds and problems as its common in Government sector. Therefore, managing the difference of abilities among my students proved to be a difficult, but gratifying, challenge. I usually tailored activities to maintain the interest of high-level students without intimidating less-skilled English speakers.
I also have an experience of teaching English as a second language with American Embassy in Access Micro scholarship Program for the developing countries. I have attended many training workshops and courses with American trainers. This experience taught me a great deal of using different resources and incorporating technology in the classrooms.
After all this I decided to progress my career by doing PhD in Autism and machine learning. The focus of study is on Autistic Spectrum Disorder and its different levels. Currently I’m working on developing the background on autism and its diagnosis criteria. I have not yet joined any organizations yet but I’m very much willing to join anything which comes along. I feel very motivated to pursue different trainings and help the individuals with ASD diagnosis.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is quite interactive and student centered. I use technological tools to maximize the creativity and productivity of students.
