About Brian
From my undergraduate degree I have been known for being linked to the artistic field, working in contemporary art galleries while I was doing my studies. When I graduated, I dedicated myself to working in museums of Chilean history and modern art. I traveled to Mexico in 2015 to specialize through a master's degree in art studies, winning the Ibero Fisac award in 2017 for my career. Today I am in my third year of my doctorate, and I have specialized in the art of the seventies and eighties in Mexico, Chile and Argentina. I have carried out two key investigations of action art in Chile (Metales Pesados, 2016), and in Mexico (Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo, 2019). Today I enjoy sharing my experience with everyone interested in Latin American art from the second half of the XX century to the present.

I am passionate about current art, with a special interest in linking history with artistic practice. We will study the works of women and men artists from 1950 to the present, we will review their lives and interests. Each class will last 1 hr. and a half, will be online, and we will have the possibility of contrasting with optional readings easy to find. The method will be simple, in expository format, with an emphasis on mutual dialogue. Aimed at people with a basic to intermediate level.
