About Andrew

I'm a PhD researcher in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, with 8+ years of research experience across psychology, education, health, and cognitive science.

• Designed and delivered an MSc Statistics module
• Taught, examined, and moderated statistics at postgraduate level
• Supervised or consulted on 20+ research projects
• Published in peer-reviewed journals

I work with postgraduate and final-year undergraduate students who need expert help with statistics, R, research methods, or their dissertation - whether that's ongoing support across a project or emergency help before a deadline. If that sounds like you, get in touch for a free session!

References available on request.

About the lesson

Lessons come in three forms: rapid intensive help, problem solving, and ongoing support.

RAPID INTENSIVE HELP - up against a deadline? I offer multiple sessions a week in the run-up to submission, hands-on and focused.

PROBLEM SOLVING - stuck on an analysis, methodology question, or R error? A single session can get you unstuck and back on track.

ONGOING SUPPORT - weekly sessions working through your project from design to final write-up, or a statistics module, with mentoring available throughout.

Andrew is exceptionally knowledgeable on statistics, their use cases, and their underlying assumptions. He is able to deliver this complex content in a very approachable manner which made what can be intimidating topics easy and engaging.

Andrew is a statistics wizard!
He explained the use of mixed models to me to analyse data, and taught me how to apply them on my own datasets.
He explained it in a really logical manner, rather than just telling me which button to press. (I finally understand contrast coding!)
Completely recommend for anyone wanting help with statistics, r, and social science datasets!

He's good at explaining things clearly at different levels, he is a patient and just a nice compassionate person.
